Clear Lake Bass Fishing - July 15, 2006

Rented an 18' fishing pontoon boat from Clear Lake Cottages on Clear Lake about an hour and a half southwest of Ottawa on Saturday. Clear Lake is part of the Rideau Canal system and is directly connected to Newboro, Indian, Bennett and Mosquito Lakes. We spent some time on Clear Lake and on Newboro Lake. The weather started out kinda grey (good for fishing) but ended up really hot and sunny (good for people). We didn't have great luck fishing but we didn't get skunked either. I didn't take any photos of myself but I caught a small Smalley and a nice sized Perch too.

The only decent fish all day. Way to go Pat! (Bastard almost always gets first, biggest and most, too bad we never pay up, eh Pat?)

Careful Louis, fish hooks are sharp.

Nice boat, nice lake, good day.

They don't look like much but these are actually pretty nice sized Perch.
