I turned the earth over, and mixed in some mushroom compost, some farmyard mix and some bone meal.
It's difficult to see in the photos, but from left to right, I've got:
- chives
- rosemary
- basil x2
- space for parsley
- habanero peppers
- orange bell peppers x2
- bird's eye peppers
- jalapeno peppers x2
- climbing tomatoes x2
- lemon boy tomatoes x2
- sun sugar tomatoes (I'll have to double check this one but I think that's right)
- green bush beans, about a 54" row, planted from seed (these did awesome last year)
- green leaf lettuce, also about a 54" row, planted from seed (I'll shoot that @#$%! groundhog if he's back this year)
- cucumbers (not sure what type)
- musk melon (cantaloupe)
If you remember my photos from last year, you'll notice that I moved everything around, except for the herbs. I'm hoping the peppers and tomatoes will get more sun on this side of the garden. I'm going to try and train the cucumbers and melons vertically on the back fence. Maybe the cucumbers won't curl up this year and maybe I won't lose any melons under the fence. We'll see.
